This is one of the last pictures taken last week during our overnighter in Twentynine Palms. We were driving through Wonder Valley on our way to shoot at a location that we'd previously used, when we passed by this recently-burned-down house. I made a U-turn, headed west and turned north on a dirt road. The first spot would've been good, but this spot was just perfect as it had black ashes on the ground and a blackened tree that was still standing. Ms. Blue Eyes thought it was a great location too, so we focused our efforts on shooting here. I mostly took variations of a few poses of her alongside the burned tree and foundation, but then she had an idea to shoot by what was most likely one of the openings into the house. As we shot, the sun went down and was illuminating her body beautifully. This shot was one of the last ones taken and it is one of my favorites from that day. Fully story of this day to follow soon.
