All kinds of everything remind me of you

Airbnb’s…casitas in the city of angels to which we came.

Angela of the canyon’s flora and brush ;

thirty years out from her sole brush with fame.

Architecture and art. Architecture is art.

And art is everywhere we look.

In bonsai trees and forests,

impromptue bacon sandwiches for two.

In the tingling sensations of lust…

Our intertwined bodies on a bed that felt like a 16th century dugout canoe.

Love, cosmically chosen and ageless.

In canyons of laurels,

carrot cake on a bench and ginger beer.

Hippie, rainbow, wavy font murals

And on the side of a canyon road, a lone deer.

California rolls in California.

In the waxy, surreal petals of jade plants,

And Joni’s surreal soprano on wax.

Serenity gardens and ponds designed to entrance.

Jackson and Clarence, vocals and sax.

Joy.

Tangible, palpable and beautiful.

In a magnolia house craftsman, bustling yet intimate in our gaze.

And imperfect WPA mortar…

was the cement oozing joy like we were?

Neither it nor we could be contained.

Nor can the memories that we made to last us all our days.

Billions of memories imprinted in billion year old carbon.

More kinds of everything to remind me of you.
