Today's Hike - You Were Everywhere

I went to Donkeyland today to get some donkey poop, gather some wildflowers and be in peace and quiet while I talk to Ms. Blue Eyes. As I've said before, there's something special about talking to my pretty girl whenever I'm: 1. in a Starbucks line ordering a tall Blonde Flat White or 2. walking among wildflowers, poppies, in particular. Hmm, the next time that we talk, I should be in a poppy field and drinking a tall Blonde Flat White! #goals

This weekend, I will be with my babies in JT and part of my goal is to gather some more wildflower petals. Specifically I'll be looking for desert lilies, Joshua tree flowers and desert poppies, with the purpose of adding them to my growing wildflower petal collection. I will be bringing these petals next month, for use in our six-year commitment ceremony. Oh, I'll bring a few complete flowers along so that you can put them in your hair!

The container below has all the dried flowers that I've collected so far. It consists mostly of poppies (all of which were on the ground and therefore not picked), but there's also some bluebells, wild sunflowers and daisies in there.
