I made a post last week that featured my pretty girl wrapped in a saffron-colored sarong. I came up with the title "Saffron Goddess" on my own, but little did I know that it was actually a thing already. Per the internet:
The Saffron Goddess (1600 B.C.) is a detail from a Minoan fresco depicting a saffron harvest, Akrotiri, Santorini island, Greece (National Archaeology Museum of Athens)."

As I said, I didn't know there was such a thing as the Saffron Goddess, but learning of her gave me an idea; This April, I should cook Ms. Blue Eyes a dish with saffron rice! It would go so well as the base for chicken curry (no thighs)! Can you imagine the smell of curry, cumin, jasmine rice and saffron?!! Yeah, I'm going to make that dish for you, babe.
Now, back to where I meant to take this; I've got another beautiful Saffron Goddess picture, featuring a goddess of 1963 vintage, rather than 1600 BC. We took this one just over two weeks ago in an old homestead in Twentynine Palms, CA. My pretty girl blesses me with her beautiful body posed in the prettiest poses and I'm just lucky to have be there to catch it all.
