Some Pretty Clothes That I've Saved

I saved a number of Ms. Blue Eyes' old clothes that she got rid of before she moved. We'd had so many great trips and experiences over the years and certain clothes bring back certain memories. I have pictures of Ms. Blue Eyes wearing all of these things and in each one she looked so pretty. Of these eight here, I must say that my favorite is the black and green dress in the top right corner and I remember the first time I saw her wearing it as if it were yesterday. It was August 26, 2014 and we'd been a couple for two months. I knew that I was crazy about her and had determined that I'd spend every available minute that I could with her.

On this particular day, I was at work but was able to take time off and meet her at a local state park. She'd brought hummus and vegetables for us to eat and she fed me food as we talked. I remember just being amazed at how amazing she was. She was so new and exciting and an excellent conversationalist, unlike any woman I'd ever experienced before or since. I suspect that at some point, I'll donate these clothes to a worthy charity (not that green and black dress, though--that's going in my casket when I die) and it won't be a sad occasion. Those old memories will always be there; she's still new and exciting; she's still an excellent conversationalist, but now she's my forever girl, and we've got many future memories to make, starting later this month.
