Our trip to Chicago isn't for another seven months (and we haven't even done Indy yet), but I do love thinking about it and planning activities. I was looking at apartments in Hyde Park tonight (again) and I think this is the one that we're getting. Per the description on Air BNB:

I noticed the mention of biking to the lakefront and that made me look up bike rentals in the area. Turns out that there are several of them and they rent everything from electric bikes to bikes that you peddle yourself. This could be an option since we likely won't have a car...or maybe I do rent a car. Hmmm...no worry, we have plenty of time to discuss that more.

I have included some of the pictures that were included in the listing below. I love that the living room has that big couch and a radiator to heat it. The kitchen is big enough to cook us a nice Thanksgiving dinner and it even has an oven! The last three pictures show what's outside the door and it does indeed seem to be very walkable. We're going to have a great time here.
