It was nice talking to you this past Sunday as I drove home from the pistol range. I was on the 60 for most of the drive, and as we talked, it occurred to me that I needed to get some jacaranda blossoms for our commitment ceremony this October and I knew just the place to get some: Pearblossom! I turned off the 60 and headed that way and soon, I was parked in that old familiar cul-de-sac where I'd parked so many times before. I shut the car off and was about to tell you where I was, but thought it would be fun to make a post about it instead.
As we talked, I walked around the complex and picked up these jacaranda flowers that recently fallen. The trees are mostly bare, so I'm glad I didn't wait much longer or we wouldn't have any for October. I got back in the car, placed the flowers on the passenger seat (that has held your sweet ass so many times) and off I went. When I got home, I put them on my work bench for a quick picture and then put them in an airtight container that had desiccant in it. That was two days ago and I'm sure the flowers are good and dried out by now. They will look so pretty as we stand barefoot on them and some other mixed-in flowers and renew our vows in a few months. I do love committing to you every year, and I love knowing that we have many years to come.
