Music For A Mid-century Modern Vibe

I spent a few hours tonight assembling a list of popular music from the mid-century modern period. I think that will be a nice cap for our vacation given where we will be and what we will be doing. My first inclination was that we have to have lots of jazz music, as jazz (west coast jazz, in particular) is synonymous with the top songs of this period: John Colteane, Dave Brubek, Chet Baker and Miles Davis were all easy choices.
Of course jazz wasn't the only popular music back then, so we'll have to include some of the other popular musicians, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, The 5th Dimension, Rosemary Clooney and even some modern throwback artists, such as Lake Street Dive, Leon Bridges, and a little Tame Impala. Oh, you know what else might be fitting? Some lo-fi music! I remember listening to a playlist of lo-fi music with you a few years ago and it really set a cool vibe.
I was recently looking for a consensus on what period of time the mid-century modern period covers and it's generally agreed that the period from the end of World War II to the mid-1970s is it. That puts us both squarely of that vintage! I don't know about those tits of yours, though. Those appear to belong to a 30-year old.
