Mid-century Modern Colors

By now, I feel like I've read every internet article on the colors that were popular during the mid-century modern period. It's easy to go down the rabbit hole because most of these articles are either interior design or architectural, both topics that I find interesting. There's no official list of colors stated, of course, but generally, I would describe mid-century colors as being earthy, e.g., rust, deep gray, mustard yellow, orange, brown, et al. These colors make it easy to pair with other colors or used for a clean, monochromatic look and can look very organic in nature. It is thought that this palette was in response to the elaborate and heavy design styles of the previous 50 years and came from a desire for simplicity.
It occurred to me that your nail color for our Palm Springs vacation should be one of these colors, and I most like the three on the right, along with the middle-top (gray). I'll narrow it this far: you can pick either the rust or the orange. Just fifty-nine more days to go!
