Hwy 62 Road Trip

Miss Blue Eyes and I took another roadtrip to the desert this weekend. Like before, it did not go according to plan, but (like before) this didn't matter because we still had a great time. This is because our intent is not so much to go to a specific place and do specific things, as it is to spend the day together in close proximity. We did just that.

The original plan was to drive to the Patton Tank Museum in Chiriaco, CA and then continue east on Hwy 10 until we hit Hwy 77. We were going to take that highway north until it connected with Hwy 62, at which point we'd drive east to Twentynine Palms (taking in the old homesteads along the way) and eventually circle back to Hwy 10 and head home. As it were, an accident just 15 miles from Chiriaco stopped traffic dead for what was projected to be one and a quarter hours. We weren't willing to burn that much daylight, so we crossed over to the westward-bound lane and headed to Yucca Valley via Hwy 62. Fifty minutes later we arrived, just in time to run to Walmart for a bathroom break.

After departing Walmart, we headed for Twentynine Palms where we stopped at a gas station to get our favorite drinks, which we have both decided is indeed the nectar that the gods drink. As we drove through "downtown Twentynine," Ms. Blue Eyes noticed that the local bakery was open! I'd read about it a few months earlier and we hurriedly parked and went in. The owner apologized for having such little food left (it wasn't even 2:00 PM yet) and we told him that we're glad that they're doing so well. He threw in two extra brioche to go along with the pumpkin muffin and banana bread. They were all amazing and I hope like hell that this bakery makes it. Twentynine Palms needs and deserves a place like this.

After leaving the bakery, we continued driving east and came across the Glass Outhouse Art Gallery. We'd driven past it once before but this time we decided to stop. It was a super windy day, but we didn't let that damper our mood as we walked around the five acres of assembled art. The owner of the gallery has been there since the 1970s when she bought the place with her husband. That scoundrel later ran off with her best friend and she remains there by herself to this day. Just tonight, Ms. Blue Eyes suggested that we make one last trip to the desert and actually stop into the museum. I like that idea, as any reason to visit Twentynine Palms and have a nice drive with my pretty girl, is a good one.

We left the Glass Outhouse and continued driving west down Hwy 62 and stopped to look at this amazing green homestead. We walked around it for about 15 minutes and then walked over to the equally-dilapidated homestead located about 200 meters west of this one. I made up a story that the houses were once owned by two feuding brothers, Larry and Sam, whose relationship became irreparable when Larry knocked over Sam's outhouse one day.. Problem was that Sam was inside relieving himself. It's probably not too far from the truth.

Soon we were on our way heading west again, admiring the scenery until we realized that we weren't seeing any other houses. It made sense that the further away we got from the city, the fewer houses there would be. So, we turned around, headed back east and stopped at the green homestead again so that we could shoot there. It was such a god decision because we got SO MANY great pictures in that house! The one below is one of several that I'll post in the weeks to come, but most are for my eyes only. The most fun photo was one that we took that had both of us in it. In it, I'm leaning through the upright 2x4s along the back of the house, with my dick hanging out of my hands. Ms. Blue Eyes is behind me and only her left arm and hand are visible as she's holding my dick...while I pee...a lot.

We soon got back on the road and as we drove back towards Twentynine Palms, we decided to head into Joshua Tree National Park to shoot near Skull Rock. By the time we got there, the wind was still blowing hard (look at the clouds moving in the picture below) but I quickly took three pictures and we headed back down the hill to complete our journey.

There was still four hours left in our day, so Ms. Blue Eyes ordered the most delicious mushroom and chicken risotto dinner and we picked it up once we got into town. We ate, had wine, rubbed each other down and then had our usual outstanding sex. It is hard to imagine a better day.
