This song is so perfect and I must admit that I never listened to every word of it until just last night. Coincidentally, it was right after we had that difficult conversation and both agreed (once again) that we are inseparable. The lyrics are so good and are deeper than the sweet, lush melody and beautiful harmonies suggest. A close listen reveals that Wilson is singing about the doubt, stress and the anxiety that he's feeling before a street race that he's about to enter. He's talked up his car and his driving skills so much and thinks that he has bitten off more than he can chew. We are not told what the outcome of the race is, but that does not matter; what does matter is that in the end he has full faith in his girl who has told him that "everything will turn out alright." He accepts her word with full confidence and his fears are allayed. Similarly, I slept like a rock after we talked last night.

Well it's been building up inside of me For, oh, I don't know how long I don't know why but I keep thinking Something's bound to go wrong

But she looks in my eyes And makes me realize

When she says "Don't worry baby" Don't worry baby (Don't worry baby) Everything will turn out alright (Don't worry baby) Don't worry baby (Don't worry baby)
