Cosmic Partners

I have adapted a new way of thinking of life after death, and it's all because of my pretty girl. I grew up a devout Baptist and in this religion we were told that if you repented and accepted Christ as your personal savior, you would spend eternity in heaven where the streets are paved with gold. Sometime between age 30 and 35, I stopped believing that, and I'm sure that it was largely because of what I'd seen and experienced while deployed overseas.

Since meeting you, I've come to believe differently. I now believe-hope-pray that there is another life after this one and that you and I will find each other in the next life. If that happens, I promise that I will be a devotè of whatever deity, angel, spirit or sky god that caused that to happen and I also promise to be the most amazing partner that you could ever hope for. I will give you a beautiful life in a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful children, all of whom appreciate beautiful things, to include their beautiful mother.

I believe that will be our future, but what about our now? Well, our now is pretty damn amazing. Even after almost 10 years (which has flown by, by the way), I remain determined to continue being the partner, lover and man that you need amd deserve.
