My pretty girl celebrates another year around the sun today. This day marks the 22281st day of Ms. Blue Eyes being the prettiest thing to ever come out of the midwest. Neither Gillian Anderson, Gabrielle Union, Jessica Lange, Kristen Bell, Chaka Khan, or Katie Holmes (all mid-western beauties) get to wear that crown.
It is interesting to see all the positive change and growth in the last year! Just a year ago, you were out of sorts, uncertain and struggling to find your place there, and now! Well, now you are in a home that you love, your relationships are getting better, you are intellectually and artistically-challenged and you have found your tribe. You have built an incredible amount of momentum and I have no doubt that it will follow you into 2025.
We will be celebrating your birthday in just a few Sunday nights from now. I'm going to cook a nice dinner for you and we will celebrate with cake, ice cream and a few simple (but very cool) gifts that I got for you. Spoiling you with attention and love is my favorite way to celebrate your birthday.
