A Jog Down Memory Lane (In Old Clothes)

Before you left California, you gave me a bag of your old clothes to give away. As it were, I gave most of them to one of our managers who volunteers with a women’s shelter, but there were some that I just couldn’t get rid of. Those are the seven pieces that you see here. I’ve had them packed away in a locked box and I take them out every six months or so, gently handwash them, hang them to dry, fold them and then put them away in a box. One thing that they all have in common is that I have such vivid memories of you in them (and looking fantastic, I might add) and also that they’re mostly colorful and fit your personality. I kept the hat because you look great in hats and this is the one that you were wearing when I took some amazing pictures of you out in the Mojave Desert.

Of all of these clothes, there are two that stick out the most. The first is the black and green dress, which you wore when on one of our first dates. I met you at the local city park and you fed me grapes and olives. I was so smitten and amazed by you. (Still am.) My second favorite piece is the short-sleeved salmon and gray flower print one. I recall you wearing this on our first trip to San Diego. You wore it with jeans (my lord, you wear jeans so well) and boots and were just stunning. {Still are.)

I posted this because I thought it would be fun for you to pick out which ones you’d like me to bring to you on our next vacation. I’d love to see you in them again (keep in mind that I can’t fit in anything from 10 years ago) and get pictures. Oh, I'm going to bring those sexy-ass gray Tik-Tok booty pants, too. You looked great in them, too!
