A Garden Update

I'd been working in my garden for about two hours today when I remembered that I hadn't made a garden post in a while. Seems like a waste not to given how pretty my garden is due to all the rain that we've received in the last six weeks. My (our) aloe vera babies are healthy and strong, as is the chard, aeonium, etc. The compost pile is probably holding 100 pounds of excellent compost which will be used some time around June. The wildflowers are sparse because I only planted them last winter (wait until next year!), but the ones that came up are pretty. The birds have benefitted from eating all the bugs that the high, uncut grass holds. I've got great plans for this fall after the harvest; I'm going to stop growing for two months and just dump composted soil on the ground all winter long. Next year's harvest is going to the best yet.
